VALENCIANA PYROTECHNICS
Llanera de Ranes – Valencia – Spain
Pirotecnia Valenciana was founded by Manuel Crespo Ortells in 1965 and has been run since 1992 by his son, José Manuel Crespo Vidal, who at just 17 became Spain’s youngest pyrotechnician and is now regarded as one of the finest fireworks designers of our time. The next generation is already stepping up: his son Manuel Crespo has been responsible for several recent show designs, including that of the 51st Costa Brava International Fireworks Competition.
Considered one of the most important companies in the sector, Pirotecnia Valenciana is a faithful representative of the traditional spirit of Valencian pyrotechnic art and of its reinterpretation through the use of new technologies in fireworks show design.
From its extensive track record in national and international festivals and competitions, some of its most recent awards include: 1st Prize, Concha de Oro, at the “58 Concurso Internacional de Fuegos Artificiales de San Sebastián” (2023); 1st Prize at the “Concurs Internacional de Focs d’Artifici Ciutat de Tarragona” (2016); and 1st Prize at the “XXV Concurso Internacional de Fuegos Artificiales de Bilbao” (2015).
For the fifth year running (2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025), Pirotecnia Valenciana has won 1st Prize at the Costa Brava International Fireworks Competition – Vila de Blanes Trophy, and this year it returns aiming to retain this prestigious title.
