Martí Pyrotechnics
Pirotecnia Martí is a Spanish company specialised in the production of shows and the manufacture of a wide range of fireworks. It is at the forefront of research and the creation of new products and special effects for standard, aquatic, aerial and musical fireworks shows, etc.
The company was founded in 1868 by Mr José Martí Usó and is currently run by his great-granddaughter Reyes Martí Miró, who, on her own merits, became the first female pyrotechnician to start the Nit del foc (Night of Fire) and the burning (Cremà) of the official fallas (giant wooden effigies) in Valencia.
Under her leadership, Pirotecnia Martí has continued its tradition of excellence in the manufacture of fireworks and has won numerous prizes and accolades in international competitions, of which the following are highlights: the Concha de bronce (bronze shell) at the 43rd International Fireworks Competition in San Sebastian (2006), 1st prize (Palmera de oro – Golden Palm Tree) in the Alicante International Mascletaes (Firecracker Displays) Competition at the Sant Joan Bonfire Festival (2007), 1st prize of the people’s jury at the 45th International Fireworks Competition in San Sebastian (2008), 1st prize at the 16th City of El Ejido International Fireworks Festival (2009), 1st prize at the Vitoria Fireworks Competition (2011), and first prize at the 24th City of Tarragona International Fireworks Competition (2014), among others.
